I Couldn’t Say No to Our Babysitter

A Ride Home With a Question Attached

Mila is the babysitter, an adult woman finishing a late shift at the Hartley house. Her date has flaked again, so she is calling a cab when the husband of the house offers to drive her instead. He thinks of it as courtesy. Over the ride she tells him most men would never have offered, and that someone like him would suit her better.

Nothing explicit has to happen for the tension to land. A man who says he is taken gets asked again, in a new way each time, while the ring stays in view. That slow pull is what the first episode runs on. Tori's Broken Vows, a Spicy series, is on the related list for the marriage angle.

Episodes of I Couldn't Say No to Our Babysitter

1. Episode 1 A short voiceover admits it up front: he is married and could not say no. Then the evening plays out, from the cancelled date and the ride home to the reminder about his marriage and an invitation upstairs to collect something for Mrs. Hartley.
2. Episode 2 Episode 2 picks up the question the first one leaves open, and it is the last one included with a free Candy account.
3. Episodes 3–5 The synopsis frames the rest as a courtesy that becomes a question he cannot answer with the ring in view. His answer sits behind the tokens.

Who This Slow Burn Is For

Readers who like temptation built from restraint get a lot out of five episodes here, since the first is only conversation and still carries a charge. The limits are the usual Candy Shorts ones: short episodes, cliffhanger endings and a paywall right where the decision gets made.
