Harriet Seagrave starts her first day at a London office where everyone seems sharper, prettier and surer of themselves than she feels. She is shy, she doubts that she belongs, and she is convinced the boss will never look twice at her.

He does look, and he keeps looking. According to the synopsis he becomes obsessed almost at once, and the series runs on that pull. The complication is his PA, a blonde who has run his diary for a long time and sees the newcomer as a problem to remove. Everyone here is an adult, and the fling is a taboo one mainly because he is her boss.

1. Episode 1 Harriet’s first morning. She spirals about whether she is good enough for the place, the boss and the new temp meet in a flustered exchange, and when his PA recites a morning of meetings and paperwork he sets it aside and offers to give the tour himself.
2. Episode 2 Builds on that first meeting, with the boss’s fixation growing and his PA watching more closely.
3. Episodes 3–5 The synopsis promises a PA who will do anything to wreck the fling, so the closing episodes are a contest over whether it survives.
